Cricut Explore Air 2 Setup

The Cricut Explore Air 2 can be set up on computers (Windows and macOS) and mobile devices (iOS and Android). The machine supports USB and Bluetooth connectivity for seamless operation. If you want to set up the Cricut Explore Air 2 machine, you will need software known as Cricut Design Space. After installing Design Space on your device, you can create a Cricut account to access design tools and manage your DIY projects. You can use this account whenever you log in to the Design Space app. After creating an account and signing in to it, you can start designing anything you want. Step 1: Connect Cricut Explore Air 2 to Computer 

You can connect a Cricut Explore Air 2 to a computer with a USB cable or Bluetooth connection. Now, let’s check the steps for both. 

USB

1. Take the USB cable included with your Cricut machine.
2. Connect one end to the machine’s USB interface, which is at the back of the machine. 
3. Connect the other end of the cable to your computer’s USB port.

Ensure that the USB cable is properly inserted to establish a stable connection between your Cricut machine and the computer.

Bluetooth

1. On your Windows computer, click the Start menu (Windows icon) on the taskbar.
2. Then, search for the Settings option. Click that option and open it. 
3. Now, click the Bluetooth & devices option on the left side of the screen. 
4. After that, click the Add Device option on the top right of the screen.
5. Let your computer scan for the Cricut Explore Air 2. When it appears on the screen, select it. If prompted, enter the pairing PIN (usually 0000).

Allow your Cricut Explore Air 2 to establish a Bluetooth connection with your computer by completing the pairing process. 

Step 2: Download & Install Cricut Design Space 

The Design Space is a creative software for designing anything. To set up your Cricut Explore Air 2, you need to download and install it on your computer. Let’s check the detailed steps for that: 

Downloading 

1. To start, visit an internet browser on your computer and navigate to design.cricut.com.
2. Then, type your machine model name in the search box. 
3. Now, check the box to accept the Cricut Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. 
4. Click on Download and then wait for the software to download.

The software file will be saved in your computer’s Downloads folder. 

Installing 

1. Go to the Downloads folder on your computer and locate the downloaded file. 
2. Double-click on the file to open it. 
3. When asked, click Run and follow the on-screen instructions to grant the necessary permissions.
4. The installation will start then. Let it finish on your computer. 

Step 3: Create a Cricut Account/ Sign In 

After installing the Design Space app, a login page will appear. You can sign in to your account if you’re an existing user. If you’re a beginner, select the option to create an account. 

1. To sign in, type your email address and Cricut account password. 
2. If you’re a new user, click Create Cricut ID and enter all the required details, such as your first and last name, country or region, etc. 
3. Now, set a strong password for your new account. 
4. Finally, sign in with that email address and password.
