Cricut Joy Blinking White Light

A Cricut Joy machine blinks white light when it is ready to pair to a device such as a computer. In other words, if it’s in a pairing mode, a blinking white light is normal. Sometimes, when it is powered on but not connected to Design Space, it also shows white light. However, it can be a sign of a connection error if it blinks continuously. 

However, this issue can be fixed using the troubleshooting methods mentioned below. 

Solution 1: Forget and Reconnect the Device

If the Cricut Joy is connected to a device via Bluetooth, and the connection is faulty, the white light may start blinking on the machine. In this situation, forgetting and reconnecting the device would work. Here is how to do it: 

1. On the computer, click the Start menu and search for Settings. 
2. Select the Bluetooth & Devices option under Settings. 
3. Check if the Cricut Joy is paired with the device. 
4. Select the Remove option to remove the machine from the computer. 
5. Click the Add Device option to reconnect the machine to the computer. 
6. Enter “0000” as the passcode. 

Check if the machine still has a white light blinking. If yes, check out the other solution. 

Solution 2: Restart the Cricut Joy 

Sometimes, the blinking white light is a technical problem that prevents it from connecting to a device. Restarting the machine can resolve this problem with minimal effort. 

1. Unplug the Cricut Joy’s power cord from the main power switch. 
2. Wait for 30 seconds and then reconnect the power cord to the power switch. 

If the white blinking light persists, move on to the next solution. 

Solution 3: Reconnect the Machine in Design Space

If the Design Space doesn’t recognize the machine, the Cricut Joy remains in the pairing mode, showing a blinking white light. Reconnect the machine in the Design Space using these steps. 

1. Go to the Design Space app on the computer. 
2. Click the menu, which is represented by three horizontal lines, in the top section.
3. Select Machine Selection from the options, and select Cricut Joy. 

By reconnecting the machine to Design Space, the blinking white light can be stopped. 

Note: If nothing is working, try connecting the machine to another device. A technical glitch in the device is possible if the issue persists.
